7 Advices to Combine Jewellery with Style
We are sure that you already know that the perfect and complete outfit does not include only cloths and shoes!
In fact, even the best vision may seem rather ordinary and even repelling if you do not combine the right jewellery and accessories! Expensive and glittering outfits turned into cheap parody when a person decides to blind all around by adding more luster - much more than good taste and excellent fashion style afford.
We chose this topic not because we think women who visit out site have no taste, but because first we think the subject will be interesting, and second – we will break some taboos because in our opinion the rules are outdated!
In the begging we will start with a global rule, which you do not forget and ignore for any occasion - casual, formal or business.
Always choose the jewellery according your outfit, do not try to much the clothes to accessories that you accidentally saw!
1. MIX OF METALS
An old rule convinced as that we can not mix metals – if you want silver, wear silver, if you want gold, then let it be only golden! Correct! But silver, gold, and yellow, white, pink – all of them go together. Do not be afraid to experiment with mixing different metal jewellery until you find a combination that you like. You can wear all your bracelets together or to arrange various delicate rings in sequence - something you probably never tried before! “Analyze” you jewel box and see which of long forgotten accessories can be used in a completely new and modern way!
2. Plenty of Necklaces
When we speak about necklaces, the word "more" definitely describes in best way current trends. This means that you can wear more than one necklace, and they do not even have to be with the same length or color. In fact, the more layers you manage to create, the more interesting will be your style. Multirow pearl necklaces are for classic retro outfit, but why should you limit yourself? Combine metals, leather and natural stone, delicate chains and pendants-amulets with heavier necklaces! In general, be "Boho" and express yourself without fear!
3. Cheap – expensive
You have pearls, jewellery of precious or semiprecious gemstones, but you do not stop wondering how to combine them and whether does the good taste allow it?! There is only one rule that you must never break: Do not combine cheap and expensive! This advice is not applicable for clothes, but if you want your accessories to make the desired positive impression, it is desirable to comply with "cheap-expensive"! If you have artificial pearls never combine them with natural, the rule applies also to precious stones! On the other hand, minerals seem well and unique with both main elements - gold and silver, then the only thing for what you need to worry about are the color and style of your outfit!
4. Volumetric rings
The huge ring definitely catches the eye, so do you really need more than one? You can put one on each hand and still be within the permissible limits of fashion, but in this case, you must be sure that the style and type of rings match. But ultimately zeal will not bring you points for style, and you can even expose yourself to look "cheap" and kitschy, no matter how expensive really are your rings. So the quote of Winnie the Pooh "The more, the better" does not apply here! On the contrary – chose one volumetric accent on your hand and you will definitely get round of applause from others! Definitely, you must take into account the occasion and its prestige with the materials and how the ring looks like. It is not impossible, that ring you have decided to shine somehow to be big plastic and neon flower on your little finger. It will hardly be the best choice for your prom!
5. The clothes before everything
Dress with sequins or belt with stones do not require and do not allow any jewellery or almost none. You can bet glamorous outfit without accessories or simple vision with sparkling jewels, but if you do not plan to appear under the motto: "The sun is on holiday, I will shine instead it today!", anything more than that is just tacky. Feel free to wear necklaces layers, if your dress is without ornaments, deep V- neck opening or turtleneck, but before adding any jewellery to dress with wide shoulder decoration, think about!
Yes ... Diamonds may be the best girl’s friend, but you should definitely leave them at home during the day, even if you are women who are "bathed" in them! Diamond jewellery is very elegant and arouses admiration and envy, but ... as other jewellery embedded with precious stones, does not tolerate experimentation. Wear your engagement ring at any time, but keep your diamond earrings, bracelets and necklaces for special events and important celebrations and for all those moments when you are sure it deserves to shine! In the office or neighborhood supermarket is not the right place...
7. Be Creative
You have luxurious ring inherited by your grandmother…
But you do not wear it, because it is too big and you do not want to take the risk to correct it. You want to keep its original shape. You can always put it on a chain and turn it into a completely unique and original pendant. A long necklace can be worn in many different ways - in one or more layers around the neck, as a multilayer bracelet, why not even as a belt, if your clothing style allows it.
